Announcing MEKR’s ₹67 Crore Series A Led by Avaana Capital

Three years ago, we started MEKR with a simple observation: India was consuming electronics at a large scale but not producing enough of them domestically. The consumer appliance manufacturing ecosystem was fragmented, dependent on imports, and heavily reliant on global supply chains. As demand in India grew, brands faced increasing challenges in speed, quality, and cost-effective production. We saw a clear gap—and MEKR was built to solve it.
Today, we are proud to announce that MEKR has raised ₹67 crore in Series A funding led by Avaana Capital, with participation from Titan Capital. This is an important milestone and a strong signal of confidence in India’s growing manufacturing potential.
Manufacturing in India is changing. Global supply chains are shifting, and India is moving from being only an assembly base to becoming a design-led manufacturing hub. This change needs more than factories. It needs strong engineering, better supply chains, automation, tooling, and the ability to scale production reliably. This is the system MEKR is building.
MEKR is a full-stack design and manufacturing company for consumer appliances and electronics. We manage the complete product journey—from design and engineering to prototyping, sourcing, tooling, manufacturing, and final assembly. Today, we have built 100+ products, worked with 40+ brands, and delivered across home appliances, personal care, and automotive products. Our partners include Croma, Wipro, Amazon Basics, and Flipkart.
Our systems are built on simple but strong foundations: modular product design, close supplier partnerships, in-house engineering, and key technologies like motors, heating systems, and precision parts. Our goal is clear: build high-quality products in India that can compete globally.
India still depends heavily on imports for many appliance categories. At the same time, global supply chains are changing, creating a strong opportunity for Indian manufacturing. We believe future manufacturing leaders will not just assemble products—they will control design, engineering, quality, and supply chains together.
This funding will help us grow faster in key areas like research and development, supplier localisation, automation, tooling, and quality improvement. We are also increasing our manufacturing capacity toward nearly 1 million units per month.
To our customers, partners, suppliers, investors, and team—thank you for believing in MEKR. This milestone belongs to everyone building alongside us. The opportunity ahead is enormous, and MEKR is building with long-term conviction, ambition, and confidence.
